Evaluations & Assessments
for your student

These assessments allow us to look at several different factors to gain a comprehensive understanding of your mental health and services that are needed to make you the best version of yourself. During the assessment, we will have an informal conversation, conduct, and review a formal appropriate psychological test, review school or work records and speak with family, friends or other mental health professionals if needed.

Neuropsychological Evaluations

focus on how a child’s brain functions and how it impacts behavior, learning, and emotional regulation. These assessments delve into cognitive functions such as memory, attention, problem-solving, and executive functioning. A comprehensive neuropsychological evaluation can help diagnose conditions like ADHD, autism, or learning disabilities, guiding families and schools in creating strategies for success.

Developmental Evaluations

Assess a child’s physical, cognitive, communication, social, and emotional skills to identify any delays or concerns. These evaluations are designed to understand the child’s development in comparison to typical age milestones and help create a personalized plan for intervention if necessary. Parents receive detailed reports that outline the child’s strengths and areas for growth, along with recommendations for therapies or educational supports.

Multidisciplinary Assessments

Involves a team of specialists who work together to evaluate a child from different perspectives. These assessments may include input from psychologists, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and other professionals to provide a holistic view of the child’s abilities. The collaborative approach ensures a thorough understanding of the child’s needs, leading to well-rounded recommendations for intervention and support.

In-school/In-home Observations

allows our specialists to evaluate a child’s behavior, interactions, and challenges in their natural environments. By observing the child in real-time, professionals can gain deeper insights into how they cope with social situations, academic tasks, or daily routines. These observations are crucial for tailoring interventions that work within the child’s specific context, whether at home or school, and can help guide educators and caregivers in providing the right support.
